Sample Program:
Intensive Programs are utilized by a variety of companies to build the foundation of lasting change. A two-day sample program may look like this. Goals: Team building and Leadership.
First Day: Meet at a local outdoor facility close to your business where Outward Bound Staff get the group ready for the day. Start with 1-2 activities to get the group used to the environment and the process for the day. Continue with problem solving and leadership activities designed to get your employees thinking and talking about the topics. Experiences are followed with facilitation both after the individual initiatives as well as during the day.
Second Day: Meet at a different venue where you are going to experience rock climbing (or sailing, boat building, hiking, orienteering or other) for the day. Using the activity of climbing your group will have periods of activity and discussion -- reflection and challenge. All the experiences and discussions are focused on the goals of team building and leadership and how they apply to your work.
\At the conclusion of the experience, a facilitated discussion is arranged to bring the lessons learned into focus and allow for transition back to the workplace. Ongoing follow-ups with Outward Bound may be arranged.
